Free NinjaTrader to MT5 trade copier
A NinjaTrader to MT5 trade copier that runs entirely on your own PC. Take the trade on NinjaTrader 8 — by hand, from an ATM, or from a NinjaScript strategy — and your MetaTrader 5 account takes the same trade, re-sized to the percent of that account you chose, with your stop and target carried across.

Why people copy NinjaTrader to MetaTrader 5
The order flow tools live on one platform and the funding lives on the other. NinjaTrader 8 is where the footprint, the DOM and the volume profile are; the funded and prop accounts that actually pay are overwhelmingly MetaTrader 5. A copier closes that gap: you keep reading the market on the platform built for it, and the account that pays you follows along by itself.
The catch is that the two platforms do not measure size the same way. Two NQ futures contracts are not two lots of NAS100, and a copier that mirrors the number instead of the risk will quietly put a multiple of your intended exposure on the funded account. That is the problem this one is built around.
How the NT8 to MT5 copier works
1. NinjaTrader is read, never touched
A NinjaScript AddOn watches your NinjaTrader account five times a second and records what it sees: open positions, the average entry price, and the working stop and target orders. It places nothing, cancels nothing and modifies nothing on the NinjaTrader side. If you deleted the MT5 half tomorrow, your futures trading would be exactly as it was.
2. The size is recalculated, not copied
This is the part that matters and the part most copiers get wrong. The bridge reads the distance between your entry and your actual working stop, then solves for the MetaTrader lot size that risks the percent of the MT5 balance you picked — 0.5, 1, 3, 5 or 10. A wide stop produces a smaller position and a tight stop a larger one, which is the whole point: the dollar risk stays where you put it regardless of how many contracts you happened to click.
Contract size and the FX rate are read from the symbol itself rather than assumed, so an index CFD, a metal and a currency pair are each sized on their own terms.
3. The MT5 side keeps itself matched
An Expert Advisor inside your own MetaTrader terminal compares the two accounts several times a second and corrects any difference. Scale in and it scales in. Trail your stop and the stop follows. Go flat and it goes flat. Because it corrects a difference rather than replaying a list of events, closing MetaTrader mid-trade and reopening it does not desynchronise anything.
WHAT CROSSES THE BRIDGE
| On NinjaTrader 8 | Copied |
|---|---|
| Market and limit entries | Yes |
| Stop loss (and every move of it) | Yes |
| Take profit / target | Yes |
| Scaling in and out | Yes |
| Flatten / close | Yes |
| Contract count | No — recalculated from risk |
| MT5 → NinjaTrader direction | No — one way only |
Should you use this one?
There are other copiers, and two of them are worth naming rather than pretending they do not exist. What follows was read off their own pages in September 2026.
THE THREE THAT COME UP MOST
| FLownQus Maximus | Trade Copier (free) | MirrorFlow | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | Free | $69 one-time |
| Copies into MetaTrader 5 | Yes | No — NinjaTrader accounts only | Yes |
| Size decided by | Percent of the MT5 account, worked out from your stop distance | Quantity ratio — a contract multiplier | Multipliers and lot conversion |
| Platforms | NinjaTrader 8 → MetaTrader 5 | NinjaTrader 8 only | 9, in any direction |
| Runs on your own machine | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Read that table honestly and it tells you when not to use this one. MirrorFlow connects nine platforms in any direction and costs $69 once. If you run cTrader, or Interactive Brokers, or you copy MetaTrader 5 back into NinjaTrader, it does things this does not do at all, and $69 is not a lot of money for a tool you use every day.
The free Trade Copier on the NinjaTrader Ecosystem is good at what it does, and what it does is copy between NinjaTrader accounts. It never reaches MetaTrader. If your funded account is on MT5, it cannot help you.
What is left is the case this was built for: your order flow on NinjaTrader, your funded account on MetaTrader 5, and a size that is a percent of that account rather than the same number of contracts. Two contracts copied as two lots is how evaluations get failed. This works the stop distance backwards into a lot size, so a wide stop takes a smaller position and the money you put at risk stays the number you chose. That is the one thing it does, it is free, and nothing in it expires.
The limits are enforced, not suggested
A daily loss limit and a total drawdown limit are both watched live. Hit one and every position the copier manages is closed and copying stops — the daily limit until tomorrow. A hard lot cap sits above all of it, and a trade is refused outright rather than sized if the spread is wide enough to make the fill meaningless.
If a stop is missing there is no distance to size from, and the trade is refused rather than guessed at. If NinjaTrader freezes or closes, open MT5 positions are held with their stops and targets resting at the broker and nothing new is opened.
Brokers and symbol names
Any MetaTrader 5 account works, netting or hedging, because the Expert Advisor runs inside the terminal you already logged into. Symbol names are matched for you: Nasdaq is USTEC at one broker, NAS100 at the next and NAS100.cash at a third, and the copier resolves it rather than asking you.
Honest caveat, because it matters more than a marketing line: the sizing logic has been verified end to end on a live account at one broker. Every broker names and scales its instruments differently. Run the first trade on each new broker in dry-run mode and check the lot size yourself before you let it size a real one. The panel has a dry run for exactly this.
Installing it
- Run the installer. It finds NinjaTrader and every MT5 terminal on the machine and puts each piece where it belongs.
- Drag NTCopier onto any MT5 chart and tick Allow Algo Trading in the Common tab.
- Turn the Algo Trading button green in the MetaTrader toolbar. That is the whole setup.
The NinjaTrader account, the balance, the point value and the broker's symbol names are all found automatically. You never type a server address, and you never type a password.
What it cannot do
- Both platforms have to be open on the same Windows machine. Nothing copies while the PC is off — a VPS is the answer if you need it running overnight.
- Copying is one direction only, NinjaTrader to MetaTrader 5. Two-way copying between the platforms is not something either one supports sanely.
- A futures contract and a CFD are not the same instrument. Fills, spreads and session times differ, so the two curves will resemble each other rather than match tick for tick.
- It is not a signal service. It has no opinion about the market, it never decides a trade, and it will copy a bad decision onto a second account exactly as faithfully as a good one.
Frequently asked
Can you copy NinjaTrader trades to MetaTrader 5?
Yes, in that direction, with both platforms open on one machine. The NinjaTrader side is read-only; the MetaTrader side is an Expert Advisor in your own terminal.
Does it work with prop firm MT5 accounts?
Any MetaTrader 5 account works technically. Whether your firm permits copying from another platform is a question for their rules — read them before you rely on it.
Do you need my MetaTrader password?
No, and you should never give one to anyone selling you software. Everything runs on your own PC, in a terminal you logged into yourself.
Can I test it without risking money?
Yes. Point it at a demo MT5 account, or use dry-run mode, which computes and shows every lot size without sending an order.
What does it cost?
Nothing. It is free — no licence key, no trial that runs out, no email to leave and nothing that starts a subscription when you download it. It never contacts a server to ask whether it is allowed to run, so there is nothing that can expire mid-session.
Will this make me profitable?
No honest person can promise that. Most people who try to trade futures lose money, and a copier changes none of it — it only makes sure a decision you already made lands on the second account at the size you intended.
Free. On your own accounts.
Two downloads, both free. The copier mirrors a NinjaTrader account, so that is the side to set up first.
